Weather permitting, Longshore Golf Course will open for play on Saturday, the Town of Westport website announced. In related news, The National Weather Service is calling for a sunny day with a high of 52.
To prepare the course, Clean-Up Day, hosted by the Longshore Men’s Golf Association, begins at 9:15 a.m. If you’re planning to volunteer, “bring a pair of work gloves and a rake if possible,” the announcement encourages.
“The clean-up day gives the greens crew a great head start on getting the course in tip top condition,” said Parks and Recreation Director Stuart McCarthy. “The course will open for play on Saturday at the conclusion of the clean-up activities.”
