Edgehill Earns Top Marks in CT in U.S. News & World Report Senior Living Issue

Edgehill has been rated Connecticut’s best senior living community in the Best Senior Living issue of U.S. News & World Report. It is the only community in the state to be was awarded in each of the publication’s four categories for the second year in a row—independent living, assisted living, memory care, and continuing care retirement community (CCRC). In November 2023, Edgehill’s health center was also recognized for excellence in short-term rehabilitation by U.S. News & World Report.

As a top senior living community, Edgehill demonstrates excellence in safety, staff & hospitality, management, care services, value, and other attributes. Residents and family members who were surveyed noted, “All of the staff and associates are warm and friendly, and make living here comfortable, familiar, and safe,” and “It is like a local club/resort with all of the facilities anyone would like to have in one location. Superb in all ways.”

“Our associates are inspired to provide the best for our residents because of the special relationship we have with them,” said Edgehill Campus Executive Director Chris Cilano. “It is truly humbling to again be recognized for that work and to know that our residents truly appreciate the life they have at Edgehill.”

As a CCRC, Edgehill provides a full continuum of care for those who need it, when they need it. In addition, the community takes advantage of its picturesque location and proximity to Manhattan to offer rich cultural experiences, stimulating activities, and a luxurious, comfortable lifestyle.

This year’s U.S. News & World Report Best Senior Living issue includes survey data from thousands of senior living communities across the country, including 178 surveys from the residents of Edgehill and their family members.

Edgehill, a Benchmark Senior Living CCRC, has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report for excellence in senior living multiple times since 2016. It is a six-time award recipient for its skilled nursing and rehabilitation care. Forty-four Benchmark communities throughout the Northeast were recognized by U.S. News & World Report this year, far outpacing the industry average for achieving “Best” status.
