The library building at 100 Poverty Road remains structurally sound with consistent temperature and humidity throughout the main floors, but is not in a state to reopen to the public.
Purchase orders are beginning to be issued for Southbury Public Library repairs. The Town of Southbury applied for a state grant in addition to continuing to work with FEMA on their federal grant application. Currently, the library remains on schedule to open to the public in November 2025.
