Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

Meet Sarah Stabile-Motta founder of Hi-Impact Communications.

Why did you start your business?

I started Hi-Impact Communications because there’s a real and immediate need for a results-driven PR firm in the area. We are senior-level marketing communications professionals who have worked with leading brands, such as: Levi’s, Virgin, Converse, Kraft, Campari Group, Panasonic, Diageo, Chapstick, Orange Theory, Silver Spring Country Club and The Benjamin Restaurant in Ridgefield, CT.

What is your best-selling product/service?

Hi-Impact’s best-selling service is a Q&A consult where we sit down with a prospective client for an hour and ask several questions related to their business/product. 48 hours later, we submit a proposal outlining a comms strategy with tactics, targets and timeline. It’s a top-line roadmap to achieve the client’s marketing goals and generate solid media coverage.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

We use many local businesses including Adam Broderick/Amanda Pambianchi, Modern Dermatology/Deanne Robinson, Pilates Barre, Orange Theory Fitness, A Table, Ridgefield Moms, Chamber of Commerce, The Benjamin in Ridgefield.

Have you reimagined your small business?

Catherine Scatterday and I joined forces a year ago to reimagine Hi-Impact Communications. We both currently serve on the Communications Committee together at Silver Spring Country Club where the pair have been busy drafting an elaborate plan for the club’s Centennial anniversary. We enjoyed working together so much that we decided to join forces and offer PR and marketing services to local and regional businesses under Hi-Impact business entity.
