The Lions Roar: Ridgefield Peewee AA Advances to New England Tier 2 Regionals!

Congratulations to the Ridgefield Lions Peewee AA hockey team for qualifying for the Tier 2 Regional Championship Tournament this weekend in Maine! This team has shown incredible resilience all season, battling through a tough schedule and securing 5th place in the Connecticut Hockey Conference Tier 2. They also took home gold at the prestigious CanAm tournament in Lake Placid, NY!

The Lions put together an outstanding performance at the CT State Tournament last week, going 2-1 in round robin play with wins over Darien and Bridgeport. In the quarterfinals, they defeated the #2 ranked team in CT, West Haven, earning a spot in the state championship.

After an intense back-and-forth game in the final, the Lions narrowly lost 1-0 in a thrilling atmosphere at Wonderland of Ice. With their second-place finish, they punched their ticket to the New England Tier 2 Regional Tournament, where they’ll compete for the title of best in New England.

A huge thank you to Coaches Rob Miller, Troy Perlowitz, and Colin Hulme for their leadership and dedication to the team all season long. Their guidance, hard work, and commitment have been key in helping these players reach this incredible milestone.

Good luck in Maine, Lions!
