St. Stephen’s and Braver Angels Host Screening of Documentary on Divided America

St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Ridgefield is partnering with Braver Angels to screen the documentary A Road Trip Across a Divided America in the church’s sanctuary on Sunday, November 17, at 4 p.m. Braver Angels, founded in 2016, is a grassroots organization with a mission to bridge the political divide and strengthen our democratic republic.

This award-winning film by British filmmaker Joseph Sim follows his journey across the United States as he engages strangers and key players in depolarization, asking, “How did we lose connection with our neighbor?” and, more importantly, “How do we get it back?” A Road Trip is an uplifting, non-partisan film that aims to help people reconnect and “believe in people again.” According to a Braver Angels spokesperson, “This is a film for everyone... male/female, young/old, conservative/liberal/middle-of-the-roader, new to Town/Lifer.”

Admission is free. Register in advance at https://bit.ly/roadtrip20241117 or at the door. For questions, contact The Rev. Whitney Altopp, rector of St. Stephen’s, at waltopp@ststephens-ridgefield.org.
