Many locals and outdoor winter sports enthusiasts have been itching for some white powder! The wait may be over this weekend! There is the potential for a winter storm Saturday evening (January 6) into Sunday.
Ridgefield Emergency Management Director Dick Aarons just sent out an alert from the National Weather Service. "Confidence is increasing for low pressure to track towards the Mid-Atlantic region on Saturday and then southeast of the region Saturday night into Sunday morning. There is increasing potential for a period of moderate to heavy precipitation and strong winds. Accumulating wintry precipitation is possible with the system, but there is still low confidence on exact precipitation types and amounts."
Stay tuned to the National Weather Service here.
