Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident on Ethan Allen Highway Claims One Life
The Ridgefield Police Department reports that a tragic two-car motor vehicle accident occurred early Sunday morning on August 25, 2024, near 71 Ethan Allen Highway. At approximately 12:46 a.m., police responded to the scene following reports of a serious collision involving two vehicles.
Upon arrival, officers discovered both vehicles with extensive damage. The operator of the first vehicle, identified as 21-year-old Nathaniel M. McLean of Danbury, CT, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Ridgefield Fire Department medics. The driver of the second vehicle, 56-year-old Chaudhry M. Shouq, also from Danbury, was extricated from his vehicle and transported to Danbury Hospital with serious injuries.
