After reviewing the weather forecasts from several sources we have reluctantly decided to cancel the Memorial Day Parade scheduled for Monday.
Ideally we would have liked to wait until Monday morning for a firmer picture but there are many moving parts and people involved in the parade and we wanted to give sufficient notice.
Other considerations are that while a little rain doesn't hurt people the same can't be said for expensive musical instruments and band uniforms.
While the parade is cancelled the observance of Memorial Day goes on. Please take time today to remember the sacrifices of those that have died in service to our country.
