My name is Desmond Couri, I am a Junior at Ridgefield High School and a member of the Varsity Lacrosse team. I am collecting new and used equipment for ReLax, a nonprofit Lacrosse equipment organization, from January 2 - January 19th.

This drive will accept only sticks, gloves, and helmets. Drop-off bins are available at: Youngs of Ridgefield, 99 Danbury Road,(until 1/19) The Ridgefield Recreation Center, 195 Danbury Road (1/6 until 1/19). If you need to arrange a pick-up in Ridgefield or have further questions, please email Courides@gmail.com

The RELAX organization collects and redistributes new and used lacrosse equipment to promote education in the US and Internationally. Their goal is to encourage success both on the field and in the classroom. They look to achieve this by providing equipment to those who may not easily be able to purchase it on their own. Not only does ReLax provide free equipment to those in need in the United States, but we also provide to countries all over the globe. Students who dropout of high school are more likely to live in poverty, face substance abuse or other social problems. Athletics motivate students to stay in school, if initially only to be eligible to play sports. Statistics about ReLax Collections $5,000,000+ worth of equipment! ReLax has provided equipment to kids in 30+ different countries and 15+ different states! ReLax has supported over 100 teams of student-athletes.
