Thank you to Art and Julia Michaelsen for bringing Bartolo to Ridgefield 12 years ago and treating your patrons and the community like family. Last night, Art and Julia shared the news on the Bartolo Facebook page that the restaurant will close its doors on Saturday, May 25.
As you may know, Art and Julia’s daughter, Tess, has been battling cancer and is finally home after over a month at Mass General in Boston. “Family is everything,” Art wrote [see below] and time, is something we can’t get more of.
Thank you to Art and Julia for making our days and nights happy and filling our celebrations with so much joy (and amazing food). Please see the heartfelt note below.
Saying Goodbye is never easy…
This one is truly difficult, however it is one we must say. After 12 years, Bartolo will be closing on Saturday, May 25th 2024. It is with an extremely heavy heart that we are making this announcement.
This decision is based solely on the fact that we must dedicate the majority of time to our daughter and family. We are so grateful for all the love and support.
We will miss each and every one of you more than you know!! Please visit Bartolo if you can before or on May 25th.
Family is everything and the one we built at Bartolo will never be forgotten.
Please continue all your positive energy for our family.
Love to all,
Arthur and Julia Tess and Trey Michaelsen
We love you, Bartolo. Godspeed. We will continue to keep your family in our prayers and you… the positive energy abounds.
** Bartolo is located at 103 Danbury Road, in the Marketplace
