
Dr Wendy Hurwitz will present two in-person programs this month at the Ridgefield Library. On Thursday, March 9th from 2:00 to 3:30, she will offer “Twelve Tips for Dealing with Anxiety.” When faced with anxiety, what can one do before and during to help reduce and relieve anxiety and regain balance, calm, and clarity? Come learn about what you can do to help prevent it and to manage it if it occurs. Everyone will come away with information, tools, and techniques to help manage anxiety and help regain and restore balance and calm.
On Tuesday, March 14 at 2:00 Dr. Hurwitz returns with “Help for Better Sleep.” Did you know that during restorative sleep the body not only rests and recharges, it also cleans the brain of toxins and debris, consolidates memories, repairs tissues and organs, and grows new cells, including brain cells? Come learn tips from Dr. Wendy Hurwitz to improve sleep and restorative rest.
A graduate of Yale University School of Medicine, Dr. Hurwitz is a nationally recognized expert on stress. A former medical researcher for ABC News, Dr. Hurwitz is an expert in two fields: Mind/Body Medicine and Energy Medicine. She teaches both professionals and students in medicine, psychology, and the allied health professions, and has lectured at Harvard Medical School, Yale University School of Medicine, Columbia University, University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, University of Connecticut School of Medicine, NYU, and Fordham University.
