National Charity League, Nutmeg Chapter, is now a Presidential Volunteer Service Award Certifying Organization
On November 18, the National Charity League, Nutmeg Chapter, announced that it has become one of the few certifying organization in Ridgefield to offer the benefit of the prestigious Presidential Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) to its members.
Established in 2003, the PVSA is only bestowed upon individuals or groups who have met or exceeded requirements for service and have demonstrated exemplary citizenship through volunteering. As a certifying organization participating in the award program, the Chapter is now one of thousands of organizations that can honor its member volunteers who strengthen communities across the country through their selfless actions.
NCL Nutmeg had to meet the PVSA criteria in order to offer it to its members, which includes the ability to approve, review, and verify volunteer hours, confirm eligibility and distribute the awards. Tiffany Carlson, Chapter President, said that, "We are very proud of the accomplishments of our Chapter and having this award available to recognize the outstanding achievements of our members speaks volumes to our commitment to our community, the philanthropies we serve, and our country."
The goal of NCL is to promote a sense of civic and community responsibility and strengthen mother-daughter relationships. For more information about the award, please visit www.presidentialserviceaward.org.
