Village Gourmet Norwalk, a restaurant serving authentic Chinese and Asian cuisine in the Cranbury section of Norwalk, will celebrate its Grand Re-Opening following a fire last month with a fundraiser to benefit the Norwalk Community College Foundation.
Village Gourmet will reopen its Asian bistro this week and is taking the opportunity to support NCC with a generous fundraiser. During the weekend of April 27-28, the restaurant will donate all proceeds to the NCC Foundation, to support its invaluable academic mission in the greater Norwalk region. The restaurant encourages the public and all those who are supporters of NCC to visit the restaurant to enjoy a meal and help raise funds for NCC.
The NCC Foundation is a nonprofit organization that raises funds for NCC programs and scholarships. The Foundation expands access to affordable, quality higher education, supports the development of a productive workforce and contributes to the knowledge and well-being of our community.
Owner Mei Chen and Master Chef Eric Xie issued a joint statement: “We have been in business for over 20 years and we are grateful for the incredible support of our loyal customers throughout the region. As we celebrate our re-opening, it is appropriate and a perfect fit to help another outstanding Norwalk institution benefitting our community, Norwalk Community College, for its invaluable contributions in the area of higher education.”
