Norwalkers Win Awards at Rowayton Arts Center

 


Norwalkers win awards in the Community-Sponsored Awards Exhibition at the Rowayton Arts Center. Pictured here are 1st Place winners: Heide Follin, Keith Appleby and Laure Dunne.

Joseph Dermody of Greenwich wins Best in Show in the exhibition with  “Community Sponsored Awards, for his mixed media piece, 1995. More than two-dozen winners were selected out of 107 entries. Award winners received cash awards and prizes (almost $4000) donated by friends and local businesses at Sunday’s opening reception. 

The art, submitted by RAC Exhibiting Members, displays a full range of styles and mediums from abstraction to realism. Amy Simon, gallery owner of Amy Simon Fine Art in Westport, selected the award winners The Exhibition Chair is Mary Harold (Ridgefield) and Co-Chair is Chris Perry (Ridgefield). The exhibition will be in the gallery until Saturday, June 2. Gallery hours are Tues – Sat 11-5pm. Closed Sunday and Monday.
