Senior moments will last all month long in September when The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk offers additional discounted admission to all guests age 65 and older.
Senior guests enjoy a discounted price on Maritime Aquarium admission year-round. But, from Sept. 1 to 30, seniors pay just $15 per person – a 28 percent savings off their usual $20.95. Admission includes the Aquarium and the choice of any daytime IMAX® movie. For seniors in September, the Aquarium is even adding free theater popcorn.
“With summer’s recreational visitors all returned home, and school groups not ready for field trips yet, September can be a great time for senior visits,” said Dave Sigworth, the Aquarium’s spokesman. “Plus, with the offer starting on Sept. 1, our senior guests can enjoy the discount over Labor Day weekend, which is the final chance to see our special summer ‘Flamingos’ exhibit.”
The Maritime Aquarium’s current daily IMAX movies are “National Parks Adventure” (through Labor Day), “Amazon Adventure,” “Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Secret Ocean,” “Dream Big,” and “Beavers” (on weekends after Labor Day). All are about 40 minutes long.
The senior offer is available only at the door, not with advance online purchases. Proof of age is required.
Even deeper discounts are available for senior groups. Contact the Aquarium’s Reservations Department for more information at (203) 852-0700, ext. 2206.
