Connecticut Art Trail Welcomes New Canaan Sites - Grace Farms & The Glass House

Connecticut Art Trail Welcomes Two New Canaan Sites and Celebrates Growth in Passport-Journal Sales

The Connecticut Art Trail has expanded its cultural offerings in 2025, adding two New Canaan sites to its lineup. The Glass House, Philip Johnson’s iconic Modernist home, and Grace Farms, renowned for its serene landscape and River building, are now part of the Trail. The Glass House joins as a full member, while Grace Farms has been welcomed as an affiliate member.

These additions come during a period of remarkable growth for the Trail's Passport-Journal program, which provides free admission to 30 art museums and cultural sites across Connecticut, along with perks like gift shop discounts and membership savings.

In 2024, the program saw a 108% increase in sales, with 1,832 Passport-Journals sold compared to 880 in 2023. The popularity of the buy one, get one holiday offer contributed to this surge, with 1,258 Passport-Journals sold during the promotion—a 94% increase over the prior year’s holiday period.

“This stellar growth of the Passport-Journal program reflects a growing appreciation for the rich cultural scene we have here in Connecticut,” said Carey Mack Weber, President of the Connecticut Art Trail and the Frank and Clara Meditz Executive Director at Fairfield University Art Museum. “We’re thrilled to bring New Canaan’s unique arts destinations into the fold and provide even greater value to art enthusiasts.”

Passport-Journal holders who visit 24 full member sites within a calendar year can enter a grand prize drawing for an overnight stay at a Delamar Hotel. In 2024, dozens of participants achieved this milestone, showcasing the program’s growing appeal.

The Passport-Journal is available for purchase at Connecticut Art Trail sites, including The Glass House and Grace Farms in New Canaan, or online at ctarttrail.org.
