Milford Garden Club's May Market Returns May 15 at Fowler Pavilion

The Milford Garden Club is happy to announce that their annual May Market is back! It will take place on a new date - the Saturday after Mother’s Day, May 15 from 8:30 to 11:30 AM at the Fowler Pavilion, directly behind the Milford Library.

The club will have a large variety of perennials dug from members’ gardens, along with annuals, house plants, and “garden treasures” for sale. Master Gardeners will be available to answer gardening-related questions. Proceeds from the sale will support the club in its many outreach programs and activities.

The Milford Garden Club has been active for 94 years and continues to carry out many activities.

● Each year two scholarships are awarded to graduating Milford high school students planning to continue their studies in horticulture, conservation, or environmental concerns.

● The club helps maintain a “Native Species” garden at the library and a garden at the Historical Society.

● Every December, members decorate holiday wreaths that are distributed to various civic groups in Milford.

● The club holds monthly meetings, open to the public, on topics ranging from floral design, gardening, horticulture, and environmental conservation issues.
