Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT Seeley's Deli!
Three questions with Amanda Williams, co-owner of Seeley's Deli.
Why did you start your business?
It has been a longtime dream to open our own business, Jay (a graduate of Johnson and Wales University) and I (a graduate of Center for Culinary Arts) strive to provide the freshest ingredients, highest quality and flavorful foods. As longtime residents of Milford, we take great pride and pleasure in serving our neighbors and local businesses. The name Seeley is a surname that has been passed down from generation to generation. And the meaning: Cheerful and Happy.
What is your bestselling product/service?
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
We love to support local businesses as they support us! Shelton Printing has always helped us with our logo and the printing of our shirts! Minuteman Press prints our business cards and gift certificates. We get amazing bread from Chaves Bakery and we can’t forget the best soda Foxon Park. These great small businesses help our small business thrive!
