Jimmy's Apizza: The Real Deal

Do you ever find a place where there's that one thing on the menu that's so good you don't want to try anything else? The funny thing is, eventually you do. I admit that Jimmy's is that place for me. Their pizza is something that is so good, it's hard to think about the rest of the menu.

But back to the pizza. Typical traditional toppings, (sausage, mushroom, pepperoni etc) and not so traditional (ricotta, fresh garlic, mashed potatoes, tuna) made with or without mozzarella and tomato sauce. Yes-- mashed potato. The first time I tried that one I was skeptical but it's very good and a top seller. For me though, the shrimp casino pizza is hands-down the best. It's one of their specialty pizza's (of which there are at least 15!) We get this pizza as a shrimp or clam casino (I believe it's called a Milford seafood pizza on the menu) and it's got bacon and peppers, and you can get it red or white and with or without mozzarella. The shrimp on this pizza is the star, as it is large, fresh and never over cooked and dried out. The last ten orders have been perfect. Whether we eat there or pick it up on the way home, it's always cooked perfectly.

This kind of quality and consistency is what made Jimmy's a 2013 BEST Award winner. The owner, Jimmy Ormrod has been making pizza since 1977. He's really got his craft down to a science. Jimmy's opened in 2001 and have a loyal following here in Milford.

I've had, their meatballl parmigiana and chicken cutlet subs (you can get the chicken grilled or breaded) and people rave about the sausage and peppers. Although I've never had a dinner there, they look delicious when I see friendly waitstaff (Hi Ali!) delivering them to nearby tables.

The also have a large catering menu where you can get everything from antipasto and salads, ziti, chicken and eggplant parm, stuffed breads, wings and subs to name a few and most come in half tray or full tray sizes so you can customize what you need.

Did I mention you can get TWO slices of pizza and a 20 oz soda for $4.25 everyday between 11am and 3pm? I just did.
