Mark your calendar for the annual Spring for Abilis Gala on Saturday, May 17, 2025. Abilis, the nonprofit organization providing services and support to more than 800 individuals with special needs and their families, will transform Greenwich Country Club into a spectacular spring party for an unforgettable evening of joy, connection and community. Spring for Abilis will feature celebrity emcee Billy Blanks Jr., and music by ETA Music. The evening offers dinner, dancing and charitable giving through exciting silent and live auctions, the Abilis Giving Garden and Abilis Art Gallery. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available at https://2025abilisgala.givesmart.com.
“We are thrilled to hold this year’s Spring for Abilis Gala at Greenwich Country Club, one of our competitive employment partners, and to have our wonderful event co-chairs, Afton Fraser, Gena Mann and Hillary Sollinger back to host one of our favorite evenings of the year,” noted Amy Montimurro, CEO and president of Abilis. “Spring for Abilis is one of our major fundraisers and helps raise crucial funds that support our programs, activities, and services. Last year’s event broke records for our highest grossing Gala ever, raising more than $680,000 in support of our programs and services. We hope to exceed that amount this year, as funds from the 2025 Spring for Abilis Gala will be restricted to new initiatives at Abilis, ensuring that we can continue our mission to the more than 800 individuals and families we support annually.”
Spring for Abilis Gala co-chairs Afton Fraser of Greenwich, Gena Mann of Weston, and Hillary Sollinger of Fairfield, Connecticut, are parents of young adults with disabilities who live together in an Abilis residence and participate in Abilis’ day support programs. This is the second year Fraser, Mann and Sollinger have chaired the Spring for Abilis Gala. Their dedication and support exemplifies the impact that they have made to Abilis—and that Abilis has made to their own families.
A special part of the evening is the Abilis Giving Garden, where supporters can purchase much-needed every day items for Abilis’ programs, like diapers, books, and educational games for Abilis’ Birth to Three program, and other needed items for Abilis’ lifespan programs. The Abilis Giving Garden will be live on the Spring for Abilis website prior to the Gala and the community is invited to participate in supporting these crucial needs for the organization. The Abilis Art Gallery will also be available online for anyone to bid on wonderful, one-of-a-kind artwork created by Abilis community members. There will also be a fabulous silent and live auction as part of this special evening. For the most up to date information on Spring for Abilis, please visit: https://2025abilisgala.givesmart.com.
