
FAIRFIELD, Conn.—Sacred Heart University has earned recognition once again from U.S. News & World Report as one of the best universities in the nation. Additionally, the publisher ranked SHU’s undergraduate nursing and business programs among the best in the country.
This is the third year that SHU has been included in U.S. News & World Report’s annual Best Colleges ranking of national universities. According to the company’s website, schools in this category, “offer a full range of undergraduate majors, plus master’s and doctoral programs, and emphasize faculty research or award professional practice doctorates.”
Sacred Heart offers doctorate degrees in physical therapy, nursing practice, post-master’s doctor of nursing practice, business administration in finance, social work and educational leadership.
“This recognition is a testament to the educational excellence and successful outcomes we provide our students,” said SHU President John J. We are pleased to be included again in this ranking among other excellent institutions.”
For the Jack Welch College of Business & Technology and other universities’ business programs in the U.S., the rankings are based on peer assessments. SHU was one of 514 undergraduate business programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International to be ranked.
