Fairfield, CT: The Faxon Law Fairfield Half Marathon & 5K takes place on June 25 & 26 at Jennings Beach in Fairfield, CT. The two-day event features a 5K on Saturday and the signature half marathon on Sunday. The Faxon Law Fairfield Half Marathon & 5k is excited to again have Fairfield University supporting the event. The event is introducing the Lucas Challenge! Named after the Fairfield University Stag, the Lucas Challenge encourages participants to compete in both 5k and half marathon. Those who take on the challenge receive custom Lucas Challenge tech tee, Lucas Challenge medal, custom colored bib and a split Henkell Sparkling Wine!
Fairfield University is offering several amenities and perks for race participants. Enjoy the ease of picking up your packet before raceday at the Regina A. Quick Center on the campus of Fairfield University. Fairfield University Alumni are providing a cheer group on the half marathon course! Lucas the Stag is attending the event and will be distributing finisher medals to the Lucas Challengers at the completion of the half marathon.
Participants are encouraged to register early! The event is limited to 7,000 entrants. Both courses offer cheer groups and bands along with numerous aid stations including water and UCAN. The events offer the option to have your race packet mailed to you before the race. Race amenities for half marathon runners include shuttle service to Jennings Beach for overflow parking at the Fairfield Train Stations, massage therapists, commemorative finisher medals and baggage claim.
After each race, participants are invited to the post-race beach party! The party features delicious snacks from Chabaso Bakery, Pure Protein and Izzy B’s. Along with pizza, refreshments, live music, awards ceremony and more! Also in attendance are several vendors such as Generation UCAN and Orange Theory Fitness. This is one party you do not want to miss!
