Meet Jonathan Gordon, founder of Design by the Jonathans.
Why did you start your business?
I started Design by the Jonathans to bring amazing design to my client’s homes and places of business. It is difficult to know who to trust when you are investing in the spaces where you spend most of your time, so I wanted to make sure that my firm would be a trusted partner for all of our clients.
What is your best-selling product/service?
Our comprehensive design package (also known as Tier 3) is our best seller – it’s an all-in, fully-managed, bespoke experience where we develop a comprehensive design in collaboration with our clients and then see it through all the way through implementation.
Have you "reimagined" your small business?
I reimagine the business almost every day! As Design by the Jonathans grows larger, we encounter new challenges and hurdles. Every design brings something new and unexpected – our clients ask us for things that they want included in a design, and we need to come up with new ways of making sure that we deliver. We can never sit still, we need to be on the cutting edge, whether it’s the technology that we use or the products that we learn about and incorporate in our designs. We adapt, and change, and grow all in the service of making sure we can make our client’s dreams come true.
