Cheering for Breast Cancer Awareness

The Senior Stardom cheerleaders from Take One All-Star Cheerleading Academy hung up their blue and green team colors to “GO PINK to practice” as part of breast cancer awareness month in October.  By wearing pink, they are hoping to bring awareness to the importance of early detection and screening.  This cause is very near and dear to their hearts since several cheerleaders have had family members or know of someone who has been diagnosed with the disease.   Take One Cheerleading inspires girls to believe that every child has the potential to make a difference every day.  They hope their breast cancer awareness efforts reminds women to schedule routine mammograms and follow up with their doctor.   As survivors know, early detection can make all the difference.

Pictured here is (top row) Cierra Spruill, Jordan Winch, Emily Sullivan, Megan Crane, Ashley DeCarlo, Ashley Ford, Samantha Engler, Tennyson Mobley, (bottom row) Julia Barrows, Sierra Millicker (youth team), Emma DeNatale, Rebecca Gonley, Sydnei Brimage, Jenna Moosey, Lauren Mello and Olivia Tota (missing coaches Becky Pendergast and Corrine Lursen).
