Stay at Heidi's Inn with Shuttle Service to the Putnam County Wine & Food Fest

Heidi’s Inn, who will be providing accommodations at this summer’s Putnam County Wine & Food Fest, Saturday and Sunday, August 25-26, at the Patterson Fire Department, 13 Burdick Road, Patterson, NY with Shuttle service to and from the event!

Open for business in 1956, Heidi's Inn has become a local landmark and lodging icon, consisting of 4 buildings containing 40 guest rooms. It is sprawled on a relaxing country setting, with picnic areas, grills, and an outdoor salt-water swimming pool with hand crafted stone fire-pit, surrounded by flowering landscapes on 20+ acres of woodlands. Not only is Heidi's Inn one of the few lodging options in all of Putnam County, it is also one of the few dog-friendly hotels in the area. With its own resident, white mild-mannered Labrador, Charlie, the hotel has accommodated countless people traveling with their four-legged companions. The hotel staff is proud to create a welcoming and friendly place that people have often described as a 'home away from home', which is reflective of the raving reviews on Trip Adviser and Yelp. It has become a destination location all on its own for couples and families looking for a fun getaway in the Hudson River Valley. Visit them online at www.Heidisinn.com.

We sat down with Stella Korte, Marketing Coordinator, Heidi's Inn

Tell us a little bit about the background, etc.?
Built by the German, Von der Heidi family, the Inn was later purchased by the current owners, the Diggin Family, Irish and Finish descent, in the 1980s. Heidi's Inn has an interesting European flair to it, fused with modern upgrades such as HD flat screen TV's and laminate hard-wood flooring in many of the guest rooms! Some of the unique features to the hotel with rooms fully equipped kitchens, the glass atrium-like lobby, shuttle service to airports and local venues and the giant 6 foot by 10-foot fireplace in the lobby which was made from stones the current owners harvested off the hotel property.

We noticed that since you became involved with the Inn, that you are taking it to the next level by having events such as the Brewster Chamber’s dinner?
Heidi's Inn hosted their first Chamber of Commerce mixer in December which was a great success!

Do you have any other plans for events?
We will be hosting a second Chamber event, Thursday, September 13th. It will be a summer poolside after-business mixer setting.
Tell us some of your community involvement.

We have been getting more involved with community. It is great after sixty plus years reconnecting with our local businesses and organizations, such as the Mahopac-Carmel & Brewster Chambers of Commerce, the Rotary Club, PARC, the Southeast Cultural Arts Coalition, the Ridgefield Playhouse, Thunder Ridge Ski, Putnam Kennel Club and the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.

Are you involved with other travel industries, if so, please explain?
The internet booking sights have enabled people from all over the world to access Heidi's Inn. Although everyone in our area knows about us, our involvement with more community events, people have noticed how beautiful the property is and realized that we have renovated the rooms. People come to Heidi's from Westchester, and NYC as a destination get-away in the Hudson Valley as we have a relaxing setting many of the big chain hotels do not.
