Congratulations to Dr. Valerie Henning-Piedmonte, our Superintendent of Schools, on being honored as the Putnam – Northern Westchester BOCES School Library Systems Administrator of the Year. Dr. Henning-Piedmonte was nominated by a member of the BCSD staff who wanted to recognize her efforts in the support of Library Media Specialists and the essential role that they play in student learning.
Mr. John McCarthy, Assistant Superintendent at P/NW BOCES, introduced Dr. Henning-Piedmonte, using sentiments from the BCSD staff who spoke to her fearless leadership in infusing 21st century skills in our learning environments, curriculum, instruction, assessment and professional learning.
