The Santa Experience

One of our most popular features is The Santa Experience where children and their families have the opportunity to meet Santa himself and take your own photos! The Santa Experience gives children the opportunity to share their wish list while making a lasting memory of a lifetime. Expect to see surprise guests too! See schedule for appearance dates.

RangersTown Rink

Your admission includes unlimited skating (with skates included) on RangersTown Rink. Skate against the backdrop of beautiful Kensico Dam Plaza and twinkling lights all around. Lace up and enjoy one of Westchester’s only outdoor ice skating rinks!

Unlimited Rides

There are three holiday rides to enjoy at Winter Wonderland! Enjoy a spin on the Wonderland Express or Holly Jolly Caterpillar, or hop on our Winter Hay Ride as it takes you up close to the dancing cherry trees at the base of the Kensico Dam.

Candy Cane Lane

As you stroll the grounds this year, you will see your favorite light features from years past, including Candy Cane Lane as you enter Winter Wonderland, and our taller Christmas Tree centered on the Plaza.

Musical Light Show

Dancing lights magically light up the night, choreographed to your favorite music of the holiday season. Walk around the triangle to get the full experience!

Is Kensico Dam Plaza open during Winter Wonderland?

Yes, the park is open to the public as usual. The park will close one hour before Winter Wonderland opens on event days, at 4pm.

What are the hours for Winter Wonderland?

Winter Wonderland is open 5pm-10pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 5pm-9pm on Sundays and weekdays. For the full event calendar, please visit the homepage: http://wwinterwonderland.com/.

Do I have to pay extra for the ice-skating, skate rentals, rides or entertainment?

No, your ticket price is all-inclusive. It includes UNLIMITED circus performances, ice-skating on RangersTown Rink, skate rentals, visits with Santa and characters, and the three holiday rides. Concessions at the Hanneford Holiday Circus, including cotton candy/souveniers/ponies and camels are not included.

Do I have to pick a day to attend the event?

No, you can purchase your ticket online or at the box office and it will be good for any day that we are open. Tickets are nonrefundable and must be used before the event closes on Monday, January 2.

Do you have a senior discount ticket?

No, all ticket prices are the same: $15 for anyone over 5 years of age.

Do you have a discount for groups of 20 or more?

Yes, tickets for groups of 20 or more people are $13 each, saving you $2 off the regular ticket price.

Do I have to buy tickets in advance?

You can purchase your ticket at the box office at Kensico Dam Plaza on the day you wish to attend, but if you want to avoid the lines you may want to purchase your ticket ahead of time online at: https://wwinterwonderland.ticketleap.com/westchesters-winter-wonderland-2016/.

Will there be food available at the event? Do I have to eat outside?

You can purchase a meal from our selection of food trucks and eat in our heated dining tent. More info on the dining selection is here: http://wwinterwonderland.com/shopping_refreshments.html.

Can I get a drink, or a glass of beer or wine?

Yes, a full bar will be available in the hospitality and/or dining tents every evening.

Is Winter Wonderland handicapped accessible? What about strollers?

Yes, Kensico Dam Plaza is handicapped accessible, and there are no stairs to negotiate through the event. Handicapped parking is available, but your car must display a handicapped placard or plate. Strollers are welcome!

I’m a proud member of Westchester Parks Foundation, do I need a reservation?

You do not need a reservation. Members receive unlimited complimentary entrance to Westchester’s Winter Wonderland. You will need your member card that you received with your membership package and a photo ID with the same name on the card. A “Friend” level receives entrance for one person. “Family” level membership receives entrance for four people.

It’s raining on the night I planned to go, what should I do?

Tickets are non-refundable once you enter the event. However, since tickets are not date specific, you can use your ticket any day you like.

Can I park for free?

Parking at Westchester's Winter Wonderland is always FREE.

My pets are part of my family. Can they come to Winter Wonderland?

Sorry, but we do not allow pets, aside from service animals.

Are the food and shopping vendors cash-only?

Many of the food and shopping vendors accept major credit cards and debit cards. Additionally there is an ATM by the restroom facility.

How many people come to Kensico Dam for Winter Wonderland?

We have had over 50,000 people experience Winter Wonderland since our first season in 2014. We are looking forward to your visit!
