"The Odd Couple" Two hilarious versions!

Anyone who has ever had a roommate can relate to the conflict that forms the basis of Neil Simon's “The Odd Couple”.  Brewster Theater Company is pleased to announce the first production of their sixteenth season with performances of the original play alternating with a female version updated by Mr. Simon in 1985.

Oscar/Olive Madison and Felix/Florence Unger are the ultimate dysfunctional roommates; after only three weeks of living together, they have driven each other out of their minds. What started as a sincere effort to help a friend evolves into a major source of conflict, as the two disagree about orderliness, responsibility, personal space and everything else. In order for their friendship to continue, their living arrangement must end - but not before providing Simon's comic version of what happens, in varying degrees, to all roommates.

Directed by Donald Birely of New York City, who directed productions at Westchester Broadway Theater including "Smokey Joe's Café" and "Bye, Bye Birdie".   Mr. Birely also served as Artistic Director for Musicals at Richter in Danbury, Connecticut. He is currently the owner of DB Productions, a production company providing specialty and corporate musical entertainment.

The traditional performance will feature Michael Bennet, Bob Dumont, Lori Franzese, Christopher Moser, Joe Manuele, Rebecca Pokorski, Stephen Ross and Paul Stein.  Performances Friday March 11, 8PM, Saturday March 12, 8PM, Sunday March 13, 7PM, Saturday March 19, 2PM, and Sunday, March 20, at 2PM.
