The Discovery Center at Ridgefield is presenting ‘Animal Detectives – Home for the Holidays’ for children ages 3 to 6 on Saturday, November 19th at 2:00 P.M. in the Ridgefield Recreation Center in Ridgefield.
What would our local wildlife feast on if they celebrated Thanksgiving? Learn about which foods our woodland critters like to eat, and how they are getting ready for the long winter. This is the first of the ‘Animal Detectives’ series, where children will learn about our local wildlife each month. There will be a visit with some mounted animals, story reading, making “bird cookies,” and a leisurely walk outside to look for squirrels, chipmunks, birds, and whatever else might be wandering around the trails.
Program is suitable for ages 3 – 6 years old. Members are free, and non-members are $7 per person. Please call 203.438.1063 or visit the DC website www.ridgefielddiscovery.org to make reservations.
