The Soccer Club of Ridgefield (SCOR) has a new and improved website, and it is just in time for their spring season!  To visit it, click HERE  Some of the new features include: access to team schedules and practice dates, status of field conditions and the ability to dowload forms and documents.  SCOR has also installed an improved registration system.

If you or your child are interested in playing or coaching in the spring, below is some useful information.

SCOR House Program:

The SCOR House Program is a fun, recreational environment in which players in grades PreK-4th are introduced to the game of soccer. Players in grades 5th-9th can enjoy the game of soccer without the commitment or competitive intensity of the Travel Program.  Registration is open now through March 16th. After this date a late fee will apply. "Late Registration" will close on March 23rd.  To register, please go to the website mentioned above.

SCOR Academy Program:

Academy registration is open now. A late fee will apply after February 19th. Academy III registration closes on March 12th.

Academy I and Academy II Programs:

The First Grade (Academy l) and Second Grade (Academy II) programs are integrated with SCOR's House program. Each player enrolled in the SCOR First and Second Grade Academy program are automatically registered as a player on a First or Second Grade Division House team. First graders train with their Academy I group during the week and play with their House team on weekends. Second graders train with their Academy II group once per week, train with their House team once per week, and play with their House team on weekends.

Academy III Program (Second and Third Grade):

Academy III is a "full immersion" program - players train twice a week with their Academy groups and play on weekends with their Academy teams in a SCOR Academy League, all under the constant supervision and direction of the Academy Staff Coaches. Academy III provides a more competitive environment designed to prepare players for Travel or Premier soccer.

SCOR Travel Program:

Travel registration is now open. A late fee will apply after February 7th. Travel registration closes on February 21st.  Registration for SCOR Spring Travel is only open to players who played previously on a Fall 2011 travel team. Please conact our VP's of Travel ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ), if you are new to SCOR Travel and are interested in registering for a travel program in the Spring.

Please note: Players may not be placed on a team if registration is done after Feb 7th.

High School U15-U18:

This program provides a competitive environment for High School players in which soccer players are provided the opportunity to develop and prepare for their Fall high school soccer season. Teams are coached by experienced, professional coaches and compete in either the Southwest District Travel or State Premier divisions.

Travel Programs U10-U14:

This program provides a more competitive environment than the House Program in which soccer players, ages U10-U14 are provided the opportunity to develop their skills to their fullest potential. Teams are coached by experienced, professional coaches. Travel teams compete against other Travel teams in the greater Fairfield County area.

Parent Coaches:

The SCOR  House program has a need for capable, enthusiastic coaches to guide our recreational players. Soccer experience is helpful but not required. Although we utilize professional coaches in our Academy and Travel programs, we have a need for parent assistant coaches in these leagues as well. SCOR provides volunteer coaches with coaching plans, practice drills as well as coaching clinics, so don't worry if you think you don't know enough about soccer to be a great coach. First and foremost we need willing and enthusiastic volunteers.

There are plenty of other volunteer positions within SCOR.  Please click HERE to learn of the many ways that parents can be involved in Ridgefield soccer.
