Did you know the Soccer Club of Ridgefield is running the Holland League, a Fall Soccer Program for young athletes with disabilities?

The Holland League was established in 2004 as a separate division of the Soccer Club of Ridgefield to enable boys and girls with physical and mental disabilities to enjoy the game of soccer along with the millions of other children who participate in this sport worldwide. Games include typical peers (often siblings) to help out, along with the Holland Division director and coach, as well as volunteers from Ridgefield High School. The children are encouraged to learn to kick the ball, learn basic soccer skills, and most of all to have fun. The Holland Division players wear the same uniforms and use the same equipment as other SCOR players.

Key features include:

- Small groups tailored to the ability of the participants

- Mentors from the Ridgefield High School Varsity Soccer Teams, both girls and boys.

- Age similar buddies from the membership

- Saturday morning schedule, 1 hour, beginning September 24th

- T-shirt and ball for all participants

- Free to all participants
