It's a a great weekend of events at No. 109 Cheese and Wine!
On Saturday, November 26th from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, Jane Turner and Dozer from the children's book, "the dog who went to main street," will be visiting the shop for a casual meet and greet. All books will be personally signed by Jane or if you already have a copy and would like it signed, bring it in.
On Sunday, November 27th at 5:30 pm, Nancy Wekselbaum, owner of The Gracious Gormet, will be hosting a class, "Holiday Entertaining Made Easy." Nancy Wekselbaum achieved "Oscar"-style status in the specialty food industry when her specialty food line's Spiced Sour Cherry Spread took a Sofi Gold Award at the 57th Summer Fancy Food Show in Washington, D.C.
The class will teach participants how to make eight simple but delicious appetizers using Bernard's flatbreads and dips you can make for all of your holiday parties. The evening's menu is:
Garden Tomato Pesto Dip with Tortilla Chips
Balsamic Four Onion Spread with Crudite
Portobello and Brie Flatbread
Duck and Spiced Sour Cherry with Point Reyes Blue Flatbread
Serrano Ham, Cheddar with Rosemary Pear and Pecans Flatbread
Goat Cheese with Macadamia nuts, Pineapple, Mango and Papaya Flatbread
Artichoke Parmesan, Cherry Tomato and Feta Flatbread
Fig and Almond over Ricotta with a drizzle of Tawny Port
Plus learn how to whip up two easy and delicious party drinks:
Lemon Rosé Bellini & Red Wine Sangria
