On Thursday, September 15th from 4 pm to 8 pm, Craig's Fine Jewelry will be hosting “Ending Summer with a ROAR,” a fundraiser/trunk show for ROAR, the Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue, the third in a series of local fundraisers called Craig’s Cares.
Since opening their doors in 2005, ROAR has placed over 3,000 neglected or unwanted cats and dogs in Ridgefield and surrounding communities, while maintaining their mission of promoting the remarkable bond between people and pets and to enrich the quality of life throughout the community. This accomplishment, along with their goal of becoming a model shelter that other communities will copy, has made them an important member of Ridgefield, and one that Craig’s Fine Jewelry supports. “Seeing the dedication of all their volunteers, and the good work the shelter is doing, helped us to see that ROAR was an organization that we wished to support,” says Bill Craig.
“Ending Summer with a ROAR” will feature Trunk Shows by four outstanding jewelry designers, Spark Jewelry Design, I.Reiss, Anna Beck, and Jan Leslie, along with all of Craig’s everyday fashion jewelry priced from $45 and up. The Benziger Family Winery will also be hosting a wine tasting. ROAR will receive 20% of all sales, along with a $2,000 donation from Craig’s, and customers will have the option of donating the 20% directly to the ROAR (by check), or Craig’s will make the donation. All sales are final.
Because of the Ridgefield High School Open House on the evening of September 15th, Craig’s will be extending the 20% donation on all purchases through Friday, September 16th at 6 pm to benefit ROAR. Please note: The wine tasting by the Benziger Family Winery will be Thursday from 4 pm to 8 pm ONLY.
Craig’s Cares is a series of fundraisers that Craig’s Fine Jewelry is hosting for several local, non-profit organizations and national charities. Additional scheduled events include: Craig’s Cares for the Praxair Cancer Center at Danbury Hospital on October 20th, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Craig’s Cares for Ability Beyond Disability on November 17th, and Craig’s Cares for Tiger Hollow Stadium on December 8th.
The two previous events, benefiting the Ridgefield Playhouse and the Ridgefield Boys and Girls Club, raised over $15,000 for these two wonderful Ridgefield organizations.
All events are from 4 pm to 8 pm at Craig’s Fine Jewelry, 394 Main Street, Ridgefield, CT.
