Volume Two of the Best of Fairfield County Readers' Poll 2011, Fairfield County Weekly, was released today, and Main Street merchants and "beyond" couldn't be happier. With so many choices, Fairfield County is giving Ridgefield "props," and it's about time!
A Main Street walk is a who's who in the "Best of Fairfield County" category: Books on the Common was voted the best Independent Book Store in Fairfield, and many other local merchants were in the top three: Craig's Fine Jewelry (Best Fine Jewelry), Candlelight Shoppe (Best Non-Chain Lingerie), Ridgefield Hardware (Best Hardware), Nancy O (Best Knitting Supplies), and Ridgefield Music (Best for Buying a Musical Instrument). And if you add-in the other local Main Street shops and restaurants from Volume One, Fairfield County Weekly, Luc's Cafe and Restaurant, Bernard's Restaurant, Deborah Ann's Sweet Shoppe, The Ridgefield Playhouse and The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum ~ it makes our Main Street one of the best in Fairfield County ~ and the country!
Sugarbeads (Best Bead Store) in The Marketplace at Copps Hill and Dr. Dana Jones (Best Dentist) were also recognized today ~ add Adam Broderick Salon and Spa, The Cake Box, and the Little Pub, and finally, Fairfield County is recognizing what we've known all along ~ it doesn't get any better than RIDGEFIELD.
