Randy Carboni's Pirate a Day Blog to End!
For almost a year, talented artist and Ridgefielder Randy Carboni has been drawing, painting, or creating pirates and sharing them on his blog, Pirate A Day. There have been themes, like movie week, jokes, and even some creative uses of nature and garbage, but whatever the medium, it has never ceased to put a smile on my face! This morning, his pirate blog announced, "Today, September 19th, is the official Talk Like a Pirate Day. It is also my target day to end the Pirate a Day run." Thanks, Randy, for sharing your pirates with us ~ and let us know if you change your target date!
Curious about Pirate a Day, here is an explanation is Randy's words, "It all started one day when my friend Christopher Smith challenged me to a sketch a day grudge match. It started early november and was going to end New Year's Day. I accepted. the first image he sent me looked like a pirate so I asked if he wanted to do a pirate theme. Chris agreed. After a week or so of exchanging pirate sketches I thought, these are pretty good, we should share them with the world and thus the pirate a day blog started. New Year's Day came and the grudge match ended. However I was still full of ideas and continued the Pirate a Day blog. I am also a painter. Here is a link to my art web site."
If you have never seen the blog, take a look, Randy's creativity will amaze you!
