Age Doesn't Matter ~ Everyone Can Make a Difference in the Fight Against Cancer
The CureSearch Walk in Ridgefield was on May 15 ~ but the fundraising continues in unique and special ways.
Two Ridgefielders ~ Laine Partington, who is 8, and her neighbor, Isabella Sica, who is 10 ~ decided about two months ago to start a "cottage industry." In their free time, the girls made bracelets and potholders to sell to neighbors and friends, and with completely unselfish motives, Laine and Isabella decided to donate all the money raised to cancer research. On the last day of school, they presented their fundraising efforts to Beth Butler ~ who accepted their $271 on behalf of CureSearch, a wonderful organization that specializes in researching the cure for children's cancer.
Congratulations Laine and Isabella ~ you are making a difference in Ridgefield and beyond!
