The Ridgefield Community Coalition Against Substance Abuse (RCCASA) announces the second of three parent forums we are sponsoring this year. The second forum, entitled Building Developmental Assets in Our Homes and Our Community, will start where our first one on drug and alcohol abuse prevention left off. The focus will shift from how to protect our teens to how to create an environment that research has shown makes the difference between whether our teens thrive or engage in risky behavior.

Using the recent Search Institute survey results as our starting point, we will assess our strengths and weaknesses as a community, and then discuss what we can do to build the "developmental assets" that are predictive of healthy teen functioning. We will meet in discussion groups of 15 or less to share our ideas and experiences.

We hope you will join us at one of the following meeting times:

November 30th: 10:00-11:30AM or 7:30-9:00PM
December 6th: 10:00-11:30AM or 7:30-9:00PM
December 7th: 10:00-11:30AM or 7:30-9:00PM

All sessions will be held in the Coalition (small) conference room in the Town Hall Annex, 66 Prospect Street (behind the Old High School).
