Features with the Friends continues at the Ridgefield Library with a screening and discussion of the documentary, Food Inc. (2009, Rated PG, 91 Minutes), on Tuesday, October 4th. This program is free, but donations at the door are welcome. No registration is require and refreshments will be served.
Food, Inc. lifts the veil on the food industry, exposing how our nation's food supply is controlled by a handful of corporations that often put profit ahead of consumer health, the livelihood of the American farmer, the safety of workers and the environment.
The Dayton Program Room doors will open at 6:15 PM and the screening will begin at 6:30 PM. Following the film, screenwriter and author David Rich will lead a discussion.
