U.S. Postal Service employees in Ridgefield are participating in the 19th Annual National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive on Saturday, May 14th. Ridgefield residents are asked to leave nonperishable food items by their mailbox for the carriers to collect and distribute to area food banks.
Last year, the carriers collected nearly 70,000 pounds of food in Ridgefield, Wilton, Danbury, Bethel and New Fairfield, and more than 77 million pounds nationwide.
