The district is seeking an outstanding educator for the position of Principal of Ridgefield High School effective July 1, 2012. Ridgefield High School is a dynamic school with skilled faculty, talented students, involved parents, and a supportive Board of Education and community. Successful candidates must be prepared to lead and support excellent programs, high expectations and a positive, personalized school environment for all students.
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Prior success as a secondary school administrator
- Record of innovative leadership in curriculum and school programs that prepare students for 21st century demands
- Commitment to ensuring excellent academic programs with high expectations for all students
- Record of fostering a nurturing and personalized school environment
- Skilled in staff recruitment, development, supervision and evaluation
- Ability to lead, inspire and collaborate with faculty and staff
- Pattern of successful partnerships with parents and community
- Record of visibility and accessibility to students, staff, and parents
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and sense of humor
- Eligibility for CT Intermediate Administrator (092)
