Author Talk with Linda Urbach Howard on Thursday at the Ridgefield Library

Author Linda Urbach Howard will discuss her latest novel Madame Bovary's Daughter  on Thursday, December 8th at 7 pm at the Ridgefield Library. She will be joined by award-winning actress Katherine Kerr who will give dramatic readings of excerpts from the book.

Linda Urbach Howard's first book, Expecting Miracles, was published by Putnam in the U.S. It was also published in England and France where it won the French Family Book Award. The book later sold to Paramount Pictures. Her second novel, The Money Honey, was also published by Putnam.

E. Katherine Kerr is an award-winning actress, writer, teacher, director, seminar leader and coach. She has played leading roles on Broadway in Passion with Frank Langella, No Place to be Somebody and Night Watch.

Her film,Songcatcher, in which she plays Harriet Tolliver, was shown at the Sundance Film Festival in 2000. She is featured in such films as Next Stop Wonderland, The Siege, The Imposters, The Devil's Advocate, Suspect, Silkwood and Children of a Lesser God.

On television she has appeared on Law and Order, the BBC's production of The Buccaneers and in recurring roles on Another World, One Life to Live and All My Children.

Kerr's writing ranges from plays to an acting/life mastery book. She has taught acting at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, Playwright's Horizons Theatre School, the 42nd Street Collective, Sarah Lawrence College and privately for the last 15 years.
