St. Stephen’s hosts its 105th Nutmeg Festival this Saturday, August 13, on the church’s leafy campus at 351 Main St. It gets under way at 10 a.m. and continues until 4 p.m. with live music, food, magic, books, children’s activities, a White Elephant sale, Silent Auction, raffle and other attractions for all ages.

Entertainment will include bagpipers, Dixieland music performed by the Catoonah Street Jazz & Blues Society, and magic by Ben Nemzer, a New York magician who performs throughout the tri-state area.

All raffle proceeds will benefit hurricane relief efforts in Haiti. The grand prize is the all new iPad2, including the Apple Digital AV Adapter, which permits slides, movies, and photos to be shown on an HDTV. Second prize is a Tiffany & Co. ladies’ watch, and third prize is a Weber gas grill.

All Silent Auction proceeds go to the church’s outreach projects. Attendees will have an opportunity to bid on art, gift baskets and certificates donated by local businesses and restaurants. A special Silent Auction item is one week in a private country home near Soria, Spain, offered this September or May or June 2012.

There is no charge for admission. Please call 203-788-5073 for more information
