This Saturday, October 1st, is the opening performance of the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra's 2011-12 Season, Treasures in Our Midst.
Saturday's performance, "The Beauty of Beethoven," begins at 8:00 pm at the Anne S. Richardson Auditorium, Ridgefield High School, and features Beethoven Overture to "The Creatures of Prometheus", op. 43, Beethoven Concerto for Violin in D Major, op. 61 with Jorge Ávila, Violin, and Beethoven Symphony No. 5 in C minor, op. 67.
Maestro Steichen "Sets the Stage" in a pre-concert lecture from 7:00-7:30pm.
