Tonight, Friday, December 9th, is Knights of Columbus, McGivney Council No. 29, Night with the Danbury Whalers at the Danbury Ice Arena. At 7:35 pm, the Whalers will take on the 1000 Islands Privateers.
As part of the community involvement, the Knights of Columbus participates in:
Scholarships
Salvation Army Bell Ringing
Support of Local Soup Kitchens
Support of Ability Beyond Disability through Tootsie Roll Drive
Construct and Install Keep Christ in Christmas signs at Churches during Christmas
Memorial Day Parade - Supply a memorial wreath for Danbury rose garden
Activities in Support of Danbury Churches
Fish Frys
Spaghetti Dinners
Raffles (for Dan Myott)
Geography Bee Contests for local Catholic Grammar Schools
Collecting household goods for mid-west flood victims
Paint classrooms in St Peter-Sacred Heart School
Thanksgiving and Christmas contributions to families in need
Walk in support breast cancer cure
